About Seville Transportation

(Seville, Spain)

Travelling to Seville by train is popular, with the modern Santa Justa Station boasting excellent facilities. Seville lies on the main line that runs from Madrid to Cadiz and is served by hourly high-speed AVE trains from the Spanish capital, which run via Cordoba. The journey from Madrid takes about 2 hours, 30 minutes. You can also access Granada, Malaga and Barcelona by train from Seville.

Driving to Seville presents no real difficulties for those with their own cars or rented vehicles. The busy four-lane N-IV expressway links the city to Madrid, while the Costa del Sol and Granada are easily reached via comfortable, well-maintained roads. While Seville is quite compact and best toured by public transportation or on foot, there are many attractions out of town, making hiring your own transportation the most convenient way to get about.

Seville International Airport is the city's aerial gateway, which is well served by regular scheduled international flights from Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, London and Paris, as well as several flights daily from main provincial and interregional Spanish airports. The airport is just 7.5 miles east of the city, off the N-IV expressway.
